Duties & Taxes
NewBeeFix ships goods to you from China. As the recipient (or consignee), you are considered the importer. In many countries, this means you will be responsible for paying any applicable import duties and taxes. It is your responsibility to be aware of these potential charges and to ensure they are paid when you receive your items.
When importing goods, many countries impose two types of taxes:
- Sales Tax (VAT)
- Import Duty
Typically, these taxes are calculated based on the value of the goods (and sometimes shipping). In some cases, countries may not charge taxes on specific goods or for small shipments. It is your responsibility to determine the tax regulations that apply to your country.
There are no sales taxes or hidden fees on the Chinese side when purchasing from NewBeeFix. However, taxes may be due on your local side upon receiving the goods. We do not accept returns or issue refunds for orders where you refuse to pay applicable duties or taxes. If you request any changes to the declared value on the shipping paperwork, it is done at your own risk.
Generally, the declared value on the commercial invoice matches the selling price. NewBeeFix is not liable for customs taxes based on this declared value. We can adjust the declared value per your request, but any customization, including lowering the declared value, is at your own risk and may affect any claims for package loss.
The contents of the package must be truthfully and accurately declared for customs purposes. Any changes you request regarding the declaration of package contents are also at your own risk.
Typically, if you need to pay taxes on your goods, the courier (e.g., DHL, UPS) will pay the customs fees on your behalf. You will then reimburse the courier via cash or credit card when they deliver the goods to your door.
Import and tax rules vary:
(a) By country
(b) Frequently change
(c) Depend on the shipment size and contents
(d) Are not consistently applied across ports and customs houses in your country
Because of these factors, NewBeeFix cannot provide specific advice on how much tax you will need to pay, nor can we offer any guarantees regarding these charges.
